Our clients
Private clients, businesses, and trustees.
The common thread is that our clients want direct, partner-level advice on matters that are important to them - and they want to know who is doing the work.
01
Private clients
The majority of our work.
Property purchases, wills, estate planning, family matters, and the range of personal legal work that arises in the course of a life.
For private clients, the experience of working with the firm matters as much as the technical work. We provide partner-level advice on every matter, agree costs in writing at the start, and remain accessible to the client throughout - including for the questions that come up between formal stages of a matter.
02
Owner-managed businesses
Small and medium-sized Manx businesses.
We act across professional services, property, trades, retail, and the broader service economy. The legal work for an owner-managed business is rarely just about the business - it intersects with the owner's personal position, their family, and their longer-term plans.
We work with the recognition that an owner-managed business has the owner at the centre of every significant decision, and that legal advice for the business often involves advice on the owner's position as well.
03
Trustees
A regular part of our client base.
The Isle of Man's role in international financial services means trustees are a regular part of our client base. We act for individual trustees, family trustees, and corporate trustees on trust law matters - beneficiary disputes, trustee duties, distributions, and the wider range of trust-related legal work that arises in a Manx context.
The clients we work with want to know who is doing the work on their matter, and they want to be able to pick up the telephone and speak to them. The firm is built around that.
Sectors
Where our work reaches.
Our work touches the sectors the Isle of Man's economy is built on. If you are unsure whether a matter falls within our practice areas, please get in touch. If we cannot help, we will say so and recommend a firm that can.
Professional services
Accountancy, financial services, consultancy - and the legal work that crosses between them.
Property
Landlords, developers, residential and commercial - across transactions and disputes.
International trust & corporate services
Trust-related disputes, beneficiary representation, and trustee work in a Manx context.
Owner-managed service businesses
Trades, retail, and the broad service economy that makes up working Manx commerce.
