Notarial services.

Authentication and certification of documents for use overseas. Both partners are appointed Notaries Public. Most notarial appointments take less than thirty minutes and fees are fixed and quoted in advance.

A

Personal documents

Powers of attorney, affidavits, and certified copies.

The most common personal notarial work is the certification of documents that need to be relied upon outside the Isle of Man - typically powers of attorney for use in the UK or further afield, affidavits sworn for use in foreign proceedings, and certified copies of identity and qualification documents.

Most personal documents can be notarised at a thirty-minute appointment. Bring the original document, photographic identification, and any specific requirements from the receiving authority.

B

Corporate documents

Board resolutions, certified filings, and authority to act.

We notarise corporate documents for Manx companies that need to be relied upon outside the Isle of Man - typically certified copies of board resolutions, certificates of good standing or incumbency, certified copies of corporate filings, and documents granting authority for a person to act on behalf of a Manx company.

Where Manx corporate documents are being relied upon in jurisdictions that require it, we handle the onward apostille and legalisation as part of the same matter.

C

Apostille & legalisation

Onward authentication through the FCDO where the receiving jurisdiction requires it.

Many countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention require notarised documents to bear an apostille from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office before the document will be accepted. Non-Hague countries may require further consular legalisation.

We handle apostille and legalisation as part of the notarial matter where the receiving authority requires it - including the FCDO submission, return, and onward consular legalisation where needed.
