Owen Jones is the founder and lead engineer of OLXR. Every client engagement is designed, architected, and delivered by Owen personally - from the initial technical consultation through to launch and ongoing support. A Decade of Building Production Systems
Owen has been building software professionally for over a decade, with experience spanning fintech, enterprise banking, and SaaS. Before founding OLXR in 2019, he served as Technical Director leading a team of 12 developers, and delivered systems at genuine scale - including high-volume payroll and payments platforms processing transactions for thousands of employees, business learning platforms with over 100 organisations onboarded, and legacy system migration for a major UK financial institution.
That enterprise background - designing systems that need to be reliable, scalable, and maintainable over years rather than weeks - shapes the approach Owen brings to every OLXR engagement. Architecture decisions are made with long-term consequences in mind. Code is written to be understood and maintained, not just to pass tests. Documentation is treated as a deliverable rather than an afterthought.

Owen's core stack is .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, React Native, SQL Server, and AWS - covering the full range from backend architecture and database design through to frontend development and cloud infrastructure. He has delivered systems across web applications, mobile apps, API integrations, data engineering, and AI integration.
Beyond the primary stack, Owen has worked across a wide range of technologies and platforms - including Azure, PostgreSQL, Docker, Entity Framework Core, and various third-party integrations including Stripe, SendGrid, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and Meta. The technology choices for any given project are made based on what is right for the requirements, not on a default preference.
